"My eye is attracted to simple forms within nature and I try to find subjects that will naturally reduce the amount of information in the final print. My objective is to infuse my work with the feeling of a spiritual presence - Emanuel Swedenborg called it, “Divine Influx” - the notion that the Divine is constantly imparting objects, both animate and inanimate, with Its life force, and in turn, these objects radiate and inform the presence of the Divine in the physical world. For me, simplicity of line and form effectively and elegantly accomplishes this."
