PROFILE:

Maura Brennan photographs primarily with the Holga, a medium-format toy camera with a plastic lens. Living in Southern California , she frequents the Malibu coastline. By returning to the same locations, using the beach as muse and workshop, Maura has been able to capture the myriad qualities of light and shadow that occur as the hours and seasons change. An artist and nature lover from a young age, Maura found photography to be the most direct way to share her vision with others. As a Fine Art major, she studied painting and photography at S.U.N.Y. at Cortland and at the University of Texas at Austin .
Maura is a charter member of 4260 Black & White Photography Guild.
