PROFILE:
Katina is intrigued by the abstract, ethereal and emotive qualities of black and white photography. Her imagery ranges from diverse, mysterious forms found within nature to symbolism found within cultural iconography. She is also instinctively attracted to the realm of color and often transforms her black and white photographs by painting on them with oils. Raised in Topanga Canyon, California, Katina studied art, photography and design at Otis Art Institute and UCLA, and has worked professionally in these fields for over twenty-five years.
Katina is a founding member of 4260 Black & White Photography Guild, and a member of the Pasadena Society of Artists.
